The Start of Jason’s Lifelong Career
From the very beginning, building and business have been a part of Jason’s life. He grew up in the construction industry alongside his father, who was a General Contractor. Jason remembers moving across the state to help his father start his business of custom home building. The two of them spent about ten years building homes from the ground up, giving Jason a wealth of hands-on experience. Following in his father’s footsteps, Jason then went on to obtain his General Contractor’s License and started out on his own.
He took a project management position in San Diego. A few years later, he started Patton Property Inspections. During just the first year in the business, he inspected over 300 properties and continues to grow his client base.
Made for the Trade
Jason has already spent years in the construction trade and comes to home inspecting with a strong understanding of the many systems and components of each home he encounters. This background enables him to think more easily about what can potentially go wrong in a home and he is better able to spot trouble areas. The best inspectors have a well-rounded knowledge of homes and buildings, and continue to expand their knowledge, no matter how far along they are in the field. That’s Jason. A great communicator and all-around people person, he is able to recognize defects in a building and deliver information to his clients in a way they understand.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys backpacking, camping, flyfishing, surfing, and snowboarding. He also joined a basketball league with industry friends that is a lot of fun and keeps him in shape.
